My Fitness Journey

Competitions
Hi, I'm April, your Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach!
"I'm so glad you're here!"
My journey with health and fitness has grown over the past few years and has improved my life in many different ways! I have always enjoyed being active, but then I decided to dive deeper into the science behind fitness. I graduated high school a year early and decided to go straight to
The National Personal Training Institute, through The National Academy of Sports Medicine.
I continued expanding my education through additional certifications and hands-on experience to further grow my knowledge and better serve my clients.
I began my training career in California, where I spent the past 7+ years working with a diverse variety of clients and helping people of all fitness levels build strength, confidence, healthier habits, and sustainable results. I was also incredibly honored to receive Personal Trainer of the Year two years in a row, earning the highest annual average of in-person training sessions serviced within the company I worked for.
Now, I’m excited to begin this next chapter as I relocate to the Hampstead / Surf City, North Carolina area and continue helping others achieve their health and fitness goals through both training and nutrition coaching.
Fitness is more than just workouts to me — it’s about creating a lifestyle that helps you feel stronger, healthier, more confident, and capable both physically and mentally. Whether your goal is weight loss, strength building, improved endurance, athletic performance, or simply feeling better in your everyday life, I’m here to guide and support you every step of the way.
I can’t wait to be a part of your journey!

I'm someone who's always up for a challenge!
I grew up playing soccer and horseback riding, and then got into Obstacle Course Racing & have been competing competitiely for 5+ years. Spartan is an obstacle race organization and after completing my first race and placing first in an open heat, I decided to get competetive with it and have enjoyed multiple times up on the podium as well as competing in the OCR World Championships in Mammoth CA!
As a trainer always seeking the next fitness challenge, I entered the world of Hyrox competitions and quickly found a passion for the intense mix of endurance and strength. In my first event, I placed 2nd, fueling my drive to push even harder. Now, I’m actively training and competing, with my sights set on an end-of-the-year race to test my limits once again.
Overall, I believe that staying active is key to a happy and healthy life, and I'm always looking for new ways to challenge myself and stay in shape.

A Little More
About Me!
As you can see, I am also a huge animal lover!
I have a deep love for animals of all kinds, and I believe that every creature has its own unique beauty and value. From taking care of my own, to rescuing stray dogs or pet sitting... I find that spending time with animals and in nature help me feel more connected to the world around me.
One of my closest animal companions is my dog, who has been by my side for years. I think that pets can bring so much joy and happiness to our lives, and I feel so lucky to have such a loyal and loving companion. Overall, I believe that our relationship with animals is an essential part of our lives it is important to take an active role in helping animals, whether it's through volunteering at a local shelter, stopping to help a stray dog, supporting conservation efforts, donating to organizations (ASPCA, Best Friends Animal Society, WWF), it's one of the ways I like to give back and gives me a rewarding feeling knowing that I am making a positive impact on the lives of animals in need.
